Only one variation of Tobin is currently available in Heroes, based on his Echoes: Shadows of Valentia incarnation. Tobin is one of the characters added to the game in the Ylissean Summer update, and was made available to players in the second edition of the Tempest Trials, "Resonating Fangs", which initially ran from Jthrough July 21, 2017. He gets the lightweight and powerful Excalibur at level 6, which is doable by the end of Act 1, and also picks up Physic as a level 5 Sage to ensure that there's always something for him to do.Īll in all, Tobin might not be the strongest of Alm's companions, but given the right class he can certainly pull his weight throughout the game. As a Mage, his spell list sacrifices quantity for quality. His canon-favored Archer class is a solid choice, allowing him to fight safely from the back lines and get access to the almighty Killer Bow later on. He can do well as a Soldier, as the class line's high base Attack and Defense patches up his growths quite nicely and his low Speed beyond Act 1 becomes a non-issue. For similar reasons, he isn't a great Cavalier since his questionable offenses will cause him to fall off in favor of Clive and Mathilda. His base Speed is squandered on a class that automatically grants anyone 10 Speed, and his poor offensive growths make him suboptimal going forward.

Tobin's stat spread makes him a horrible choice for a Mercenary. His most prominent boon is his base 6 Speed, the fastest of all three Villagers however, his shaky Speed growth will likely prevent him from doubling in Act 3 and beyond, and his similarly poor Attack growth makes his damage output questionable at times. Tobin is one of the first characters to join Alm's party, doing so at the beginning of Act 1 as a level 2 Villager. This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. 2 Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. Please don't he's great) and wander around lost with out him. He also becomes depressed at the loss of Gray (if you get him killed. He also can be sorta "caring" where he wants to know what's up with his boy Kliff. He has a good relationship with his best friend Gray who he jokes around with and I personally find to be comedy gold. Tobin is a pretty entertaining character.

They are much improved from his Gaiden counterpart however. That nasty resistance growth however can screw Tobin over against mages and the like.

He will double most foes and hit hard with that 7 attack. With that low skill he won't be able to have a good hit rate though. He has decent stats for being a villager. He competes with other villagers like Gray, Atlas, and Kliff. His starting class is the Villager and he is Zofian. Tobin appears in Fire Emblem: Gaiden and Fire "Emblem: Echoes (the remake).
